Feeder/ Vent Shims 10 Frame

These 3 inch tall shim boards can be used for summer ventilation or for winter feeding. Sized for 10 Frame boxes

Each vented shim has 8 holes with #8 mesh to prevent bees or hive beetles from passing through. Use above your inner cover in the summer to give more airflow, reducing bearding. Cover the holes and use below the inner cover during the winter as a place for winter patties or sugar bricks.

Solid shims are used for feed spacers in the winter but can not be used for ventilation in the summer.
