Diatomaceous Earth

This is a finely ground silica (fossilized aquatic animals) that is perfect for using as pest control. We use this with beetle jails to trap hive beetles, it can be used around hives to help prevent ants, and any other insect with a hard exoskeleton. *This does include bees! DO NOT USE LOOSE IN HIVES*
Ground silica has sharp edges that penetrates exoskeletons, creating lots of cuts that kills the insect. When used in beetle jails, it is easily filled using the pour spout and contained in places bees can not access. Beetles that crawl into the jail are then injured and die, drying out and making clean up a breeze.
