Made of industrial strength rebar, not that flimsy stuff you get at the local hardware store. We have had 400 lbs on one (a couple of people), and it did not even wiggle. Hand make in KY, they are painted with rust proofing black paint, made to stand the test of time. Designed to lift the hive up from critter height. Solid round feet help make it stable, although if placing on unstable ground such as dirt or sand, we recommend increasing the footprint by using a small piece of treated wood, metal, paver to prevent if from sinking when you stack it tall with supers full of yummy honey.
